Welcome to one of America’s longest running multisport series — the 25th Annual FIT Family Series. Throughout the summer, the FIT Family Series visits six beautiful venues. Each venue features a Kidz Triathlon & Duathlon on Saturday (at 8:00am for this venue) followed by a mini, sprint & Olympic distance triathlon and duathlon on Sunday. So whether you’re racing for an overall title or giving multisport racing a try for the first time, the FIT Family Series is for YOU! It’s ALL ABOUT FUN! The 4th event rolls into beautiful Alum Creek State Park on August 6-7 and features events for the entire family. Online registration closes on August 5 at Noon.
Alum Creek’s 3,387-acre reservoir and 4,630-acres of gently rolling span of fields and woodlands provides a hub of recreational activity just minutes from Ohio’s capital city. Quiet coves nestled among shale cliffs await the solitary fisherman in the park’s northern reaches while sunseekers mingle with thousands on Ohio’s largest inland beach.
KIDZ TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
Race weekend kicks off with this super fun event that offers kids up to 15 years old a fun swimming, biking and running event. What kid does not like to swim, bike and run? The Kidz Triathlon & Duathlon features kid friendly point-to-point swim courses (or opening runs for duathletes) in waist deep water along the beach, followed by either a 5k or 10k bike course and finishing with a cross country run within the park. [GET REGISTERED]
MINI TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The mini distance triathlon will start off with a 250 yard point-to-point swim (in waist deep water along the beach), followed by a 7 mile loop course through the countryside and finishing with 2 mile out and back run within the park. Duathletes will start off with a 2 mile run. [GET REGISTERED]
SPRINT TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The sprint distance triathlon features a 750 meter counter clockwise rectangle swim along the beach, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k run within the park, followed by a single loop 20k bike course through the countryside surrounding the park and finishing with an out & back 5k run within the park before returning for a grand finish overlooking Alum Creek Lake. [GET REGISTERED]
OLYMPIC TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The Olympic distance triathlon features a 1500 meter 2-lap counter clockwise rectangle swim along the beach, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k within the park, followed by a 40k bike course through the countryside surrounding the park and finishing with a two lap out & back 10k run within the park before returning for a grand finish overlooking Alum Creek Lake.
